Job Description

STARTING DATE: Ongoing

The Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice at West Texas A&M University seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time appointments as instructors of Political Science.

Teach one to four sections of either Political Science 2305 (American National Government) or Political Science 2306 (American State and Local Government) on campus as needed by the department. Hold office hours and assist students as needed.

Necessary Qualifications

A master’s degree in political science or a master’s degree in a closely related field and at least 18 graduate hours in political science is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Some knowledge of Texas state and local government structures and functions is preferred to teach Political Science 2306.
